Writer's Tour and an Invite

This post has been long over due. I'm really sorry for that, but please know that I haven't forgotten it yet. Mom, as you all know, is very busy... All the time.

Anyway, this Writer's Tour post has been passed on to me by Dezi and Mom Audra of Dezizworld last August 10. Yup! You read it correctly. Meow! What date is today??? See what I mean?

There are a few rules here... Let's see...
1) I need to mention and link to the blog that invited me - Check!
2) Answer three questions - Mom will go into that in a while.
3) Invite three other bloggers to write and link - I may have to bend this rule a little bit. See, I'm purrty sure that a lot of you have already done this and I don't want to be redundant. So what I will do is put an open invitation to anycat who hasn't done this yet. Just link back to me when you do. Deal?

Now on to our questions. I'm letting Mom answer because she's the one helping me post and she's the one who's always busy... Tee hee...

1) What am I working on?

A lot! My plate is always full nowadays. As they say, when it rains it pours. That's exactly the case with me now. I still try to squeeze in some blogging time for myself and Sushi, but I couldn't do it as often as I would want to. Some days when I'm free (from work), I just want to relax and chill. I must admit, blogging time has taken a back seat lately. What am I working on now? Aside from my demanding work? Well, next week is Sushi's 2nd birthday. I already ordered a cake for her which we will be sharing with her bloggy furiends. Nothing major this year. I plan to keep it simple.

2) Why do I write what I do?

When I started a blog for Sushi, my intention was to document things happening to her as much as I could. And I guess that is still the case now. Although we're blogging less lately, I still make it a point to blog what I think is important or significant in Sushi's life. The friends we gained along the way are definitely a major bonus! What I planned to be just an "online diary" for simple documentation, turned out to be a whole lot of fun with interactions among pet parents.

3) How does my writing process work?

I write anything and everything under the sun. I write when things are good and when things aren't. I write whenever I feel like it (which is not the case now because of my hectic schedule. Even when I want to blog, most days my time won't permit me to). I write from the heart and for fun. The number one rule I will never ever break when blogging is HONESTY.  It's like what you see is what you get. No pretention.

So there. That was my Mom. On a lighter note...

Hello Again

Hi furiends! I hope you still remember me. I sure miss all of you, but what can I do? I'm at the mercy of Mom when she'll have the time to help me post.

Anyway, I'm all good. My paws and ears are now completely healed. My swollen lower lip is not swollen anymore. Thank cod! I'm back to normal. My trip to the vet is becoming less and less. Although this weekend I'm scheduled for another shot. That's okay. I'm ready for that.

Mom's schedule is crazier than ever. She's always out. That leaves me and my yaya Apple at home most of the time. I'm okay with that too as long as she feeds me well. The good news is Mom is up for a purrmotion. When that happens first quarter of next year, that would mean extra $$$ (Peso in our currency). Extra $$$ means new toys and lotsa noms. So I won't complain. 

Anyhoo, will read blogs a little bit at a time so as not to tire Mom too much. She had a flare (according to her doctor) because of lupus rash attack. Both her legs look like the map of the world! Yuckness! No pain which she's very grateful for except for the rashes that are very ugly and itchy. 

My birthday is coming up next month. I'm turning two very soon. Mom is already planning for my small house pawty. I'm a little bit excited, but not too much yet.  Tee hee...

Hello furriends!

It's that season again when Mom is gonna be very busy with work. That means I'll be blogging less. Nevertheless, I will still try to visit you guys whenever I can. October is Mom's birthday month. She will be celebrating her --th  birthday on the 14th.

Anyway, I will still be around, just not sure when and how often.  =)

After my Hello Kitty pawty, I was invited by Speedy to his Pirate themed birthday pawty. Isn't that great?  So, I'm going to his pawty with my pirate costume.  What do you think?

Today is a very special day.  It's my 1st birthday! I would like to celebrate this pawsome day with my dear online furriends.  Mom helped me put these together for all of us to enjoy.

Now let's gobble on some shrimps, crabs, lobsters and some Japanese food.

Here are some chickies (Yum!), mixed veggies, mashed potatoes and a slab of  steak.

And since Mom is Chinese, she insisted that I also have some Chinese dim sum and noodles on the table. Here, help yourselves with some Chinese birthday misua (noodles), shrimp dumplings, taro puff, radish cake, pork siumai and chicken feet.

I'm saving the best for last. =)

Can somebody teach Momma how to use the annoying flashy box? Teach her angles please.  She's so bad at it. Look at me! I look like a red-eyed cat zombie here.

Anyhoo, I'm taking advantage of the time while Momma isn't as busy yet. I've been good so she'll allow me to use the puter. So far, so good. By the way, the hedgehog in a cage I posted the other day wasn't my pet.  It was our neighbor's.  She didn't want me too close to it because she said I might get hurt.

I heard Momma and Ate Emy talking one day.  Ate Emy said she saw two cute kitties on the sidewalk on her way home.  They look hungry and cold.  Somebody might have left those kitties on purpose to get rid of them. Yup, some humans (here) do that especially to kitties.  I heard a lot of scary stories about that. Momma told her to go back and get those two, but when she got there, they were gone.  Maybe somebody took them home. I could've had a sisfur and a brofur. I wonder if they were taken to their forever home...

Furriends, I will be turning ONE on September 13. Momma has been telling me how she wants to celebrate my birthday.  I said I want to invite my furriends online for a par-tey. She agreed!  Woot!  I'm excited!!!

My Cupcake Party

Had my little cupcake party last night.  Momma had her human friends over to celebrate with me.

Is that what they call cupcake? Smells good!

Momma was out the whole day today. I heard she went to the hospital to have her blood tests.  Momma's sick. She hasn't been feeling too well lately. Please say a prayer for my Momma.  I hope she gets well soon.

I'm Turning 6 Months

Meow!

I'm turning 6 months tomorrow and Momma's going to throw me a cupcake party with her human friends. There would probably be around 5 humans all in all, just a few kiddies I guess.

It's my first cupcake party and I'm excited!  Wish I have kitty friends around here.

This is My Story

My name is Sushi and here's my story.

I don't know when exactly I was born.  I have a previous owner who bought me from a store. They took good care of me and I love them.  But they had to give me away because one of my humans started to get sick.

Well, I was sad, but that's okay because that's when I met my new Momma. I first saw her when my previous owners threw a party in our house.  There were lots of humans, but my Momma stood out because she kept going near me. I'm pretty sure she thought I was soooo cute.

A few weeks after that party, I had a new home... with my new Momma!

Momma said we will celebrate my birthday on the 13th of September.  I don't know how she came up with that date, but I guess she counted backwards from the time my previous owners got me and when Momma adopted me. Well, I'm fine with that. I'm just excited to celebrate my own birthday.
